Superstar rapper Drake has placed Charles Bernstein’s music into his new hit song, Rich Flex—adding to a long list of rap and hip hop artists who have included Charles’ music in their songs.
Charles is currently completing work on a New York-based feature, USA: Land of the Mustaches, recounting the harrowing life story of World War II Latvian refugee, Rutanya Alda, and her family.
Charles has just completed a compelling short dramatic film, The Gambler, for London-based director David Anderson.
To be completed later this year is Charles’ score for an exceptional feature documentary exploring the world of fine art from the Spanish filmmakers Alvaro Porras and Gonzalo Fernandez de Cordoba on. The film includes interviews with David Hockney, Chuck Close, actor-collector Sean Penn, and many other extraordinary figures in the art world. The score features renown cellist Tina Guo and Norwegian vocalist Vidia.
Released last year with a Charles Bernstein score was feature documentary 9th Circuit Cowboy, by Oscar-winning director Terry Sanders. It tells the life story of legendary Los Angeles Federal judge Harry Pragerson, a former Marine and "tough-guy" advocate for social justice.
Vinyl albums for previous Charles Bernstein scores, April fools Day (Varese Records) and Rumplelstiltskin (Terror Vision), are in preparation to be available soon.

Charles Bernstein has completed music on Oscar-winning director Terry Sanders indie feature, “Liza, Liza, Skies are Grey.” Over the past months Charles has also recorded music for various commercial projects and companies, including Samsung’s launch of their G5 series.
